Nobody Reads This

I was writing a real post then decided that this would be more fun! Below is my wish list for 2009 (in the spirit of the now defunct WSAG):

• DRM needs to fucking die
  We all know it’s true, so lets just do it.
   
• Will Wright will die in a freak ATM explosion
  Because I hope he really enjoys having “the sales and metrics of the sims 2″ you corporate sell out bitch.  
   
• Blizzard/Valve will release games within reasonable time frames
  I shouldn’t have to wait 1 1/2 years for an expansion pack.  
   
• WAR, LotRO and every other two bit crappy MMO will shut it’s doors.
  Hellgate is closing it’s doors, now it’s free to play – Watch nobody play it anyway.  
   
• Sony will get what’s coming to them
  With regards to their PR policies … I’m not anti-PS3, i’m anti Sony (and anti PS3-fanboy )  
   
• There will be a scandal surrounding the Wii
  Because they’re far too high and mighty  
   
• Someoneone will actually complete a Master of Magic clone/remake
  Seriously guys … How hard could is possibly be to make this thing work on XP without DosBox?  
   
• Blizzard will announce and release Warcraft 4 using the SC2 engine.
  Do it. Do it now you bastards.  
   
• All 3 parts of SC2 will come out
  If I have to wait 3 years for the 3 campaigns I won’t buy them out of principle. Stop sucking my life away!  
   
• Killzone 2 will be released
  So we can realise that all those clowns who bought a PS3 for it really are stupid. Killzone 1 sucked and so will Killzone 2.

That was definitely more fun, leave me things you’re hoping for in 2009 and enjoy the rest of your day!

This is not a good gaming month for me, so far I have played (for the first time):

• Medieval Total War 2
• Unreal Tournament 3
• Spore
• Braid
• Castle Crashers

And you know which one I was really happy with? Fucking Castle Crashers.

Med 2 was effectively Med 1 with half a face lift. The game wasn’t made anymore interesting or any better, cavalry is still underpowered and the Papal States are still fucking immortal pains in my ass.

Unreal Tournament 3 was ok. Admittedly playing it without Online is pretty pointless, but when I do get the net sorted I will mod it to fuck before I play it again.

Spore, oh Spore. Why did you break my heart? Your middle of the road game should’ve become something special … and the space, oh the space. All that cool shit you showed us all those years ago, what did you fucking do with it? Fucking EA. Fuck your DRM.

Braid was fun at times; like Blinx the Time Sweeper (Is that what it was called?) was fun … The only difference is that Braid is fucking depressing and sometimes Prince of Persia difficult. I won’t spoil the shitty ending for you, go read GameFAQs or something.

Castle Crashers was fun, like Streets of Rage with a team of 4 knights. Personally I play the Fire Knight with 45% Strength 45% Defense and 5% Magic (to kill the brutes). When I get the net I insist you play this with me.

I just wanted to complain, because I am so tired of games this month. The most fun I’ve had was playing Rome Total War and crushing Gauls again and again.

But seriously, these are games that should be guranteed to rock but instead they fucking suck hard. Spore is the biggest surprise, I guess my mistake was not taking my time like Evan did.

In future i’m going to milk the civilization era I think. 

You may or may not have heard that the demo creature maker (possibly the one they were releasing soon and/or as part of some bundles) leaked onto the net yesterday and frankly not a day too soon.

I have been waiting FUCKING YEARS to do this:

One creature I made shortly after but i’m completely in love with I called the “Partius Animus” … Because all he’s good for is partying.

I’ll cut a video of him and some others later. In fact … if it wants to list properly:

• Longeye

Anyway … It’s 8:20 am apparently so I should sleep.
