I’ve got a new article I was going to write as a weekly thing called “What’s the Deal with…” starting with JRPGs. I just can’t be arsed to write anymore of it … I’m almost tempted to just post the unfinished thing and let Leslie pick up the second half or something

Anyway the more dick’ish of you will be interested in the Probably Sucks competition running … To quote:

Anyway, Make Your Own GTAIV Fun: Prison Break 3 is set for reshooting this weekend. Don’t miss it.

One can only wonder how many legitimate appeals for foreign aid have been discarded into spam filters, how many forum users just really want you to know about these amazing penis enlargement pills to the point they post it in every thread, how many users have probably been randomly deleted by websites who are expecting … Someone.

We’ll mourn you RumpyPumpy … Best user name ever.

I am currently in a state of hang over at about a 2 on the scale but I am also hovering at about a 2 on the drunk scale. I clearly need to eat to sober up, but I really don’t want to. Sigh. And alas still no router.

One thing I do want to point out is just how bored I am with WoW … I just deactivated my account a few minutes ago because I’m just not playing it and have no will to play it. I’m busy, so there’s no “Filling-the-time” aspect and I have no interest in raiding/levelling another character right now.

So waiting for Wrath it is … Which can’t come any fucking sooner. If I ever get the PC I want to buy then I’ll probably just get back into TF2/CS:S and maybe trial out Eve or Supreme Commander – You know, all those games that don’t run on my fairly well specced laptop

I also can’t upload photos at the moment as a result of not having my camera with me at work so I guess i’ll just sign off after my two ‘big’ announcements:

1. I will be reshooting the GTAIV Prison Break Episode 3 either this weekend or next – Depending on when Virgin actually bother to send us the router and I can pick up a wireless dongle for the 360.
   
2. I will be coming down to Gosport on Thursday the 21st of August and staying till either Friday night or Saturday Morning.

We’ve had some requests on YouTube to join us in our next shooting of the Prison Break videos so if you’re interested post a comment or leave us an email and we’ll get back to you.

Oh and I’m looking for someone with experience with making Firefox plug-ins, so let me know if you have even the faintest idea.

You may have spotted the Kotaku article talking about some feminists who’re complaining about GTA IV citing it as misogynistic, amongst many other false claims.

The whole story wreaks of a Fox-news broadcast with the kind of experts who got their degrees out of cereal boxes and primed themselves on a topic from uncyclopedia but after leaving a small comment on Kotaku I decided I would leave one on the article itself, found here.

However … They’re moderating their comments so I don’t really expect it to get authorised so here was my comment:

I will admit up front that I came here redirected by Kotaku not to hurl defensive abuse around but to simply say that this article reflects badly upon you as a feminist website.

Setting aside for a moment how patently absurd the vast majority of your claims are and how little basis they actually have in fact I always find it personally appalling when “Feminists” cry out about such things.

GTAIV is a product to be consumed by Adults and features some extremely offensive and gratuitous scenes. At some point in the game all ethnicities, genders and stereotypes are poked fun at because it’s a parody of the real world.

The world, you may have noticed, is not a friendly place and sadly trash posts like this give feminists a bad name and drive away entire audiences of people who probably need to hear the message most.

God only knows that Women are exploited on a regular basis … But you picked the wrong game to target in an obviously shameful attempt to ride the Fox-news Bandwagon to hits.

Congratulations, you made a fool of yourself and your fellow bloggers.

DOA:XBV, Leisure Suit Larry, Soul Calibur, <Any Japanese Game> … These are titles you should consider actually talking about.

The fact they blathered about GTA IV says quite enough.
