Fear teh Regen
James Reynolds | May 18, 2008As a kind of prospective idea for leveling a priest I have been considering the possibility of doing so as Disc/Holy with 5/5 Spirit Tap.
The idea behind it is that I take 5/5 Spirit tap (as you basically have to as a leveling priest) after which I start on the Disc tree taking imba talents like 25% Wand damage and better buffs. Don’t laugh, the wand damage is actually pretty sick when My wand does 11dps at 0 Mana cost and my Shadow Word Pain does something like 1.8 dps with 30~ Mana cost.
Then, once down to Divine Spirit (Probably + 2/2 Improved) I delve into the holy and start pimping the actual damage side of the spec taking improved crit and such as well as “Regen Damage on Crit” and other skills which will help speed up leveling.
Ultimately at level 55 I’d have something like this 23/18/5 Build. Odd numbers I know, but I think you can see what I’m getting at. A Pure Shadow build would probably be simpler … Get Spirit and Pew Pew away. But this build may suffer slightly on DPS but is much more versatile and usable in all those two man runs I love to do.
