Nobody Reads This

This post is going to be pic heavy and you probably won’t understand it if you don’t play WoW.

Basically, we killed this guy, i’d say he was about … 60+ Feet tall and pretty bad ass. The encounter is fairly standard though.

You have two minutes to kill five adds which get tougher as they die and after the two minutes you will hopefully (we were) be on the last add. We actually lost two DPS really early, so our … 6th? Attempt was pretty dull for them.

Once on Maggy it’s just a casual Tank and Spank with the added trick that there are little cubes you have to use to banish him when he casts his fuck-off-insta-death-for-everyone nova (which he does twice a minute).  The cubes give you a debuff … So two people alternating per cube.

It only takes one person to misclick for everyone to die and surprisingly, as a clicker I never failed … But some people certainly did. Then the only other thing between you and free gear is a ceiling crash for around 6-10k Damage which, when seperated properly from his Blast Nova is easily contained.

The view from the front line when he died was pretty spectacular:

As is customary with big Guild Firsts, we didn’t on Gruul … I guess he was EZMOAD … We stopped to take a group photo. I actually remember one of my old Guild’s taking a Photo when we killed the dog in UBRS. Those were the days. Anyway:

After the gear was divided up – from which I got my Tier 4 Chest token which is now my secksy DPS chest – we went to Thrallmar for the guy who won the Head to hand it in for his ring:

This does the old Onyxia thing where you get a buff and the head appears outside:

So elated were we with our victory, we decided we had to go have a party. And where better, than the opposing factions local headquarters? To Honor hold we went:

First we killed their Local leader, Trollbane my eye! Then took up residence in his castle:

After that, we went outside … Took in the sights one more time … Killed the Windrider and Portal’d out.

It was certainly one of those nights that makes me glad I play WoW, that feeling that after … At least 8 hours worth of attempts … Me and 24 other hardworking players were able to overcome this challenge. Well. Thats just a damn good feeling, I think I could our Main tank getting a bit teary eyed whilst he was talking about this being the dawn of age for us.
